For the last couple of days we’ve been moored just past Stockers Lock outside Rickmansworth.
It’s a quiet spot, or at least it was until Gordon got his chainsaw out and started cutting up all that wood! It’s also a perfect spot for walking as it’s right beside the gravel pit lakes that line the canal from just past Uxbridge all the way to Rickmansworth.
Rickmansworth itself was only a half hour walk away.
No self respecting Douglas Adams fan could possibly have visited it without sitting in a cafe in the High Street to wait for the answer to all the world’s problems before being destroyed by a Vogon space ship. Luckily all I got was coffee!
