By the evening of our first day in Liverpool, the rain that had dogged our journey through the docks had cleared and Ellie and I headed for a walk down to the Mersey. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of looking at the Liverpool waterfront – there’s always something new to see.
On this occasion we saw a ‘sun dog’ for the first time (mind you we hadn’t a clue what we were looking at until we showed the photos to Gordon back at the boat). It was far more spectacular than my photograph shows.
We spent over an hour gazing at jelly fish in the dock and failing to get a decent photograph of them…..
….and saw a lovely sunset before heading back to the boat.
It made for a peaceful end to a busy day!
