Out of Coventry and onto the North Oxford

On Tuesday, before we left Coventry, Bob and Diane invited us to their Tuesday family tea with Diane and her ‘boys’ Tom and Jake. Diane looks rather regal in this photograph.

It was a lovely evening and the rain held off long enough for us to enjoy home-made cake in the back garden before all phones were barred while we did the quizzes from the local paper.

On Wednesday Diane, Bob and Lennon joined us for the journey down to Hawkesbury Junction. Lennon loves the boat – particularly looking out of the window for ducks…

….and standing on the deck being the ‘captain’.

Thursday saw us leave the Coventry Canal and head south on the North Oxford. It was a beautiful day and the scenery is wonderful, so I decided to walk the first three miles to make the most of it.

I had to do something to work off all that lovely cake!
